He...I'm so glad God knows what He's doing. He is so good... and amazing! I love this post. It reminds me of a point I heard Sunday as we are starting a book in our small church group called "Sacred Marriage". The thought is this: "What if God’s PRIMARY intent for your marriage isn’t to make you happy . . . but holy? And what if your relationship isn’t as much about you and your spouse as it is about you and God? Everything about your marriage--everything--is filled with prophetic potential, with the capacity for discovering and revealing Christ’s character. The respect you accord your partner; the forgiveness you humbly seek and graciously extend; the ecstasy, awe, and sheer fun of lovemaking; the history you and your spouse build with one another--in these and other facets of your marriage, Sacred Marriage uncovers the mystery of God’s overarching purpose."<br /><br />I have found recently that God has used my marriage to change me (just as you have said). Who knew marriage was a tool God uses to transform us into His image. I didn't expect that. But, I'm SO THANKFUL FOR IT!!!<br /><br />Love to you Beck!Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14892029457490561611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8073388874370843409.post-87419086116522920092012-01-30T10:38:23.177-05:002012-01-30T10:38:23.177-05:00I can relate to this on so many levels!!! What an incredible post and one that I will draw in when I feel my stubborn and selfish ways taking over! :) You are right about leadership not having to meet certain criteria! My husband doesn't put unrealistic expectations on me so why should I on him? Thank you so much for this!...and our conversations :)Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12593136730149117882noreply@blogger.com
